Mr. Bullis was well aware that there is an authorized distributor in
Seattle. He purchased the telecom version of the battery and in the
process gave up any warranty and technical help. In my conversation with
him, it became clear that the battery bank was sulphated which would be
a non-warranty situation for any battery company. The serial numbers
indicated that the batteries were a year old when he bought them.
Without knowing the storage conditions we can't guess the effect on the
batteries. Using pre-sets on any charging equipment is not a good idea,
the charging parameters are all over the map depending upon
manufacturer. Proper voltages are posted on the energy1batteries web
site. Had he purchased Energy1 batteries, we would have been willing to
find out what he is doing wrong and assist in warranty, if applicable.
