These switches are a standard electrical part and are listed in electrical
supply catalogs such as the NY telephone book size one offered by Allied
Electronics. They are easy to find in various temperature ranges and NO and NC
configurations. As I write this, I'm holding a dime sized Selco switch
    produced by
Elmwood Sensors. It opens at 212 F, closes at 180 F. NO switches which close
    at
135 F are normally used in attic fire alarms and used to be available at
Radio Shack for attachment to burglar alarms. The price of any of these
    switches
    is less than $10.

The switches can be attached to metal parts with small screws or held in
close contact to pipes by a hose clamp. They can even be attached to rubber
exhaust tubing by embedding them in a glob of high temperature silicone
    adhesive.
