Most of the parts for Lugger engines are Deere parts. I did not attempt to
get prices from Lugger dealers on Lugger parts.
Deere does not publish a price book. Dealers must lookup prices on their
Deere's Website.
I used three items for comparison: a complete FW pump, a rebuild kit for
same, and a fuel transfer (lift) pump. My particular engine is a Lugger
LP668D, AKA a JD 6068
I tried a Deere dealer in my home state, Yandow in Ferrisburg, VT. Two Deere
dealers were suggested by others: RA Mitchell in New Bedford, MA. and
Memphis Diesel in Memphis, TN
Results: Yandow Mitchell Memphis
RE505981 water pump $245.00 $300.00 $214.38
RE71240 kit 145.00 175.00 126.88
RE68345 fuel pump 73.00 76.66 63.88
Mitchell had stock on these parts. The others would have to order them. When
I asked Victor at Mitchell about a discount, he offered 5%.
So, it seems the man to call is Sean Farrell at Memphis Diesel. When I told
him his prices were very competitive, he said he marks up from cost. I had
assumed that the others were discounting from list price, but Sean said there
is no list price.
Sean's contact information is:
