I am in the process of restructuring the bow/anchor windlass area on a 54
foot Krogen. I tore out everything from the deck to 6 inches down on the
forward bulkhead at thr rope locker. I'm going back with a much more
substantial framework. My question is, would mounting 2 windlasses on the
bow be a good thing? I have 2 chain lockers and 2 rope lockers, and was
thinking about installing hawse pipes through the deck and hull, plus a
smaller pulpit "dinner hook". The cost is not a major determining factor
but the frame work would be different for a single versus twin setup. Your
    thoughts are appreciated.
