Hello All,
The last time I installed a radio in a car was in
1968.
Next weekend (after payday) I will be wiring my
new "Boss 634U, MP3 compatible, in-dash AM/FM/CD
receiver with USB and memory card ports.
Whew! What a mouthful!
Here is my problem. The manual lists the
connections. I have no trouble with the speakers
or ground, but I do have questions about the power
connections.
Here is the list:
1. Constant 12 volts. Yes I get it. This keeps
the memory working, no problem.
2. Ignition Switch. I get this too, it supplies
the actual power to run the unit (basic on/off
power)
3. Power Control. Huh? No mention of this
anywhere in the manual. Do I connect it to 12
volts? Do I connect it to ground? Do I leave it
unconnected? Is this an OUTPUT?? Maybe for an
external amplifier??
Anybody out there have any idea what the heck I'm
doing here?
Thanks in advance,
