The only problem with the Eartec TD902s is the cost--$300.00. We have a
set of the Cruising Solutions set and on several occasions, the set my
wife wears on deck has almost gone in the drink when she is bending down
to handle a line, fender or whatever. Any headset type of radio is
susecptible to falling off when bending over and working with both hands.
We have certainly dropped FRS radios in the drink. We can buy about 5 or
6 sets of the Cruising Solutions sets for the price of one Eartec.
Inevitably, we will have to do so. I'd hate to lose either. But $50 will
be easier to stomach than $300.

I had a pair of what people are calling the Aviators (from Cruising
Solutions @ $49) and these were okay but, because they use the AM band,
    they
are susceptible to RFI generated noise. In addition, I found that wind
    noise
could also be an issue with these units.

I broke down and bought the Eartec TD902's with the standard headsets a
couple of months ago and have had the chance to use them a bit now.

I could not be happier with them. My wife loves them and if she is happy,
    so
am I. Lightweight headsets, very comfortable, quiet, they work okay in
moderate winds. Not for use easily in the engine room but every where
    else
    they are great.

    Hope this is useful.
