When you cross oceans in sail boats, there is a bit of floating going on!
Also called drifting at times....but sure beats $3.00 a gallon for diesel
(which we did use plenty of, since if the speed dropped to less than3 knots
for 30 minutes the engine was started).
Looking for floating objects and finding one breaks up the watches with some
real excitement--one gets tired of fishing, reading and listening to
music....Found a fender from "Bahama Mama" about half way across the
Atlantic--probably had been out there a year, judging by the marine growth on
the fender!
