I second Bob. I was born and raised on a boat -sail- up to 12 and I
can't imagine anything else if under 20'.
Inflatables are life saver for children. Inflatables are friendly
buddies. Hard boats are bad monsters which eat your fingers when tossing
on the boat/wall. You can do pretty much everything with an inflatable.
How many mistake can you do with an iron pot?
If children are not your problem, make a test. Drive home at night each
of 3 very drunk friends when 20knts of wind in an open spot with each
boat 1/2 mile apart. Should be enough to decide.
John.
