I have been using the Kyocera KR1 Ev-Do router for a couple of months now
with my Verizon PC5740 Broadband Access/National Access PC card with good
    results.

In most of the metropolitan areas in the Pacific Northwest, Northern
California, and Ft Lauderdale/Miami areas where I have used the PC card
and/or router, I get 300-600 kbps download and 150-250 kbps upload.

I use the router on the boat as a WAN input to my ship's wired and wireless
network. I have also used it as a standalone wifi access point/router.

I use the Verizon unlimited broadband plan at $60/month.

    It works as advertised.

I remember a thread from a few months ago about the Kyocera KR1 EVDO
    wireless
router. I saw one on Ebay for $240 today. 2 questions. 1- Will this unit
    work
with my Verizon Aircard? 2- Will it link my Dell laptop and my Dell desktop
    so
that I can upload/download routes for the CAPN with wifi or an ethernet
    cable?

    Regards.
