We had a long talk with a friend who lives at Mechanicville. She said all
boats had to leave the town dock which was under water the canal is closed,
some of the gates are damaged. Several of the floating docks in Waterford
broke loose and floated off with the boats still attached. This is a huge
disaster for that already blighted area.
