    Are you sure what you are seeing or feeling is oil?. Belt dust looks ands feels a lot like dirty oil.

    In my limited experience a rear seal will fail a long time before a front seal due to alignment and shock load issues. Belt misalignment and associated wear is more common than seal failure.
