Does anybody use these in their slip? They are like a floating
    bag your
    >boat slides on top of then you put some pool chlorine inside
    to keep
    >growth off the boat. They have flotation at the bow and along
    the
    >sides. At the stern you tie it up when you are in your slip
    then untie
    >it and it is weighted to sink to let your boat out.

We have one in out marina in St Clair, MI--looks to be a lot
of trouble with very little benefit. Owner has a lot of
problem keeping the "float" under the boat (26-28 go fast)
when he tries to enter his slip. Once he is over it, he then
has to inflate it and it has a tendency to move out from under
his boat. Last time I watched him tie up...it took a good
half to three quarters of an hour to get it inflated.

Where we are in Michigan, all it will accomplish is to keep
the "green slime" off the bottom, maybe save him one half MPH
top end. I don't know how effective it would be in salt water.
