We used the Version PC Card for 3 years. It worked some of the time, but
never in North Carolina and very spotty in the Chesapeake. In October we
switched to Cingular Edge network with their PC card. I have the old Eriksson GS
83 the new Sierra Card will be much faster as they phase in their new high
speed network this year. With the Cingular card I have I always have access
and we spend the vast majority of our time a anchor in remote locations. Right
now I have 5 bars in Carolina Beach NC. We spent the winter up the St.
Johns River and I had access even in the National Forest. Cingular is much
    better than Verison.
