I sent this one on to Peggie Hall; here's her reply:

Unfortunately it's a VERY bad idea...'cuz although it solves one problem,
it's causing problems that are far worse: the chlorine in the 2000 Flushes
tabs is destroying the rubber parts in the toilet and also breaking down the
head discharge hose resistance to odor permeation. That much chlorine
going into the tank prevents non-chemical tank products like K.O. and
Odorlos from working and can interact negatively with chemical tank
products. And don't even THINK of using vinegar to prevent mineral buildup
in the head discharge line...vinegar and chlorine produce a gas that's even
    deadlier than ammonia and chlorine.

NO household chemical bowl cleaners should ever be used in any marine
toilet...nor any bleach (chlorine), any products that contain bleach or
other "sanitizing" chemicals, no pine oil cleaners or any petroleum based
    products.

If the head sink drain through-hull is below the waterline, there's a very
simple solution to his problem: tee the head intake line into the head sink
drain line. To flush the sea water out of the system before the boat will
sit, close the seacock, fill the sink with clean fresh water...flush the
toilet. Because the seacock is closed, the toilet will pull the water out
    of the sink.

If the head sink drains above the waterline, there are two alternative
    solutions:

    1. A gallon milk jug, a short piece of hose, and a simple garden hose
y-connector. To flush the sea water out of the system, fill the milk jug,
stick the short piece of hose into it and open the y-valve to pull the water
    out of the jug.

    2. A separate flush water tank that is not connected in ANY way to ANY of
the fresh water system plumbing. The easiest way to install a flush water
tank: stuff an unvented bladder into a location that's convenient to both
the toilet and the head sink drain lines. Tee the fill into the head sink
using a garden hose y-valve...connect the head intake line to the bladder.
Fill the bladder by running water down the sink.

Or...replace your toilet with one designed to use pressurized flush water.

    Hi Keith

Acording to the manufacturer of this unit as long as the sanitizer is not
running thru the intake pump they are ok with it. If you are worried about
chlorine then use something else it doesen't have to be a pellet it can also be a
liquid maybe a citrus type sanitizer? Or use the 2000 Flushes without the
chlorine tablet. Galley Maid has a system that uses the Pool type chlorine tablets
I'm thinking it probably isn't destructive maybe it depends on the
consentration of chlorine I don't know but if I was worried about it I would just use
    something else.
