OK.......some things occasionally turn out to be very simple.

Checked the prop for fouling, all was clear. Replaced the primary fuel
filter, looked clean, no improvement. Did a visual on the turbo with the
engine running, it was spinning freely. So, what would make one engine
run at much lower RPM than the other when both are set at the same
relative throttle positions, and have no other symptoms whatsoever? How
about a clip that holds the throttle cable in place on the engine coming
loose? That was it!!!! You could still rev the engine up, but it took
much more movement of the lever to get the same rpm change as the other
engine. All is fine now, and I added a nylon tie wrap to assure the
clips wouldn't come loose in the future. I truly appreciate everyone's
    great comments.

While cruising along at 2000 RPM the Port engine (SP 225 Turbocharged)
suddenly lost power and dropped significant RPM. Idled the engines down
and did a visual and all looked OK, no visible fluid leaks, no excessive
smoke, idled fine, all fluid levels OK, temp and oil pressure OK.
Further attempts to get under way resulted in an extremely sluggish port
engine with very low power that ran fine otherwise. I suspect something
happened to the Turbo. Has anyone experienced this? What is the failure
mode of the Turbos and how would one check them out? Are there
controllers for them or any valves or waste gates that can fail? Any
    other ideas? Appreciate any advice.

    Thanks,

    John Gjerdrum
