Have any listees had any experience with a fairly new vendor (UK) "Tacktick" with their wireless depth/speed instruments?

    www.tacktick.com

We are considering replacing the existing ten year old Raytheon sounder and the concept of no wires from the hull to the bridge is appealing.
So is the thought of moving the display to the aft stateroom when sleeping at anchor to hear anchor alarm depth change.

I have sent a message to the vendor inquiring about range of wireless transmission and ability to pass thru engine room top, sounding proofing and salon top to bridge.

Any info would be appreciated. No connection, just prospective purchaser.
