    I don't think BoatUS wants big boat business; instead, it wants
    boats on trailers tied down beside the house or in dry storage.
    I often wonder, between disappearing marinas and yards and increasing
    premiums, what will happen to boating.

    Numerically speaking, larger boats are a minority.
    Perhaps even a threatened minority in danger of extinction.
    Sadly, few people seem to realize that these larger boats also support a
    substantial infrastructure of service yards ane even domestic builders not
    mention equipment suppliers without which many coastal communities would be
    the poorer.
    If devlopment greed and insurancce company dictates combine to exclude large
    boats from some geographic area, the economic ripple effect will be felt all
    over.
