The general subject of the Turboed Lehman engines has been well covered
on the forum at one time, about 2 years ago as I recall. The turobed
Lehamn engines require routine, expensive maintenance. The intercoolers
are prone to pinholing, which will destroy the engine, pronto. It is
expensive to remove the intercooler and have it cleaned and tested, but
it needs doing at regular intervals. I recall the cost was about $2K and
maybe higher.
I have forgotten the details, but will see if I can find the postings on
this.
