    The following is from the Auxiliary Vessel Examination Manual. "Documented
    pleasure vessels must have the name and hailing port, including city and
    state abbreviations, marked in clearly legible letters not less than four
    inches in height on some clearly visible exterior part of the hull."

    My boat failed the annual vessel exam because the hailing port letters were
    only 3" high; I had new 4" letters made
