I have a Tasco Offshore 36 binocular and am trying to repair the lighted
compass display. I've looked on-line and cannot find a PDF file or any other
information that would shed light on my problem. Would appreciate anyone
    owning this binocular to assist.

To activate the compass light at night, you push down on the button switch,
which pushes against a contact strip and activates the light. A screw holds
down the top plate of the lighted compass display and provides access to the
two batteries. On mine, one of the two contact strips has come loose and I
don't know where to resolder or glue it down. The contact strip that is in
place is the one that is connected to a black wire and is under the button
you push to make the light operate. Where does the loose contract strip go?
    Thanks for your assistance
