    Hello All

We recently sold our old boat and purchased another our new boat has
saltwater heads which are proving to be a smelly affair. First is there some
cleaning chemical or trick or procedure in using these things that I don't know
about? The heads and pumps are Galleymaid the pumps appear to be a two section
unit one side to draw up seawater and the other to macerate and discharge into
the holding tank. Could I convert these to freshwater flush by connecting the
pump intake to the freshwater tank? Would a simple check valve be adequate
to prevent the possibility of contaminating the fresh water tank with sewage?
    Any advise would be appreciated.
