I get mine from Offshore Risk Management mostly because they are the only
ones who will quote a 35 year old wooden boat even though it has a stellar
survey. The policy gets underwritten by a European company. One time it was ING,
another Lloyds. I have never had a claim so I can't offer anything there. They
were pretty inconsistent policy service wise in the past but seem to have a
better handle on it these days. My premium for gulf coast mooring went up 30%
this year.
One of the magazines, probably Cruising World, did a sorta comparison
recently and I think they were one.
