I'm redoing all the teak on my boat right now. When I removed my Port side
Aqua Signal running light, the screw-on collar that holds the socket in the
fixture just fell apart. This fixture is only about 3 -4 years old. The
screw part stayed on the fixture... the bottom of the collar and the socket
just fell out. WM has a replacement collar and socket for about $17, but it
sure seems like this part should have lasted longer, especially since it's
black plastic and not really exposed to the sun on the bottom of the
fixture. Another one had disintegrated where the wires enter through the
bottom and the metal insert goes. FYI.
