The enclosed note from my friend Jon is self explanatory. There is a
movement to turn Old Harbor into another marina and all us cruisers are
pissed.
Hi Phil,
I guess that Sarah got in touch with you about the effort to preserve the
right to anchor in Old Harbor.. Friends of Old harbor is the group name.
Would you be willing to post the info on your trawler world list.. and we
are open to any and all suggestions you might have. We do have legal counsel
and we have drafted a letter to the town council announcing the formation of
our action group so we are on our way. I believe that all info is available
to those interested at http://groups.yahoo.com/group/friendsofoldharbor/ We
have been having issues getting everyone to be able to access this site as
it is not all that user friendly... Once again your input would be
appreciated!
