I've got a Gray Marine 4-71 (Detroit Diesel) in my boat. I'm installing a
    Seaward water heater,
that has a heat exchanger for heating the water with the coolant from the
    main engine.
I've got a few questions on the installation.

First, where does one hook up the heater hoses to the engine? I assume that
    normally
the hoses run to the cab heater on a truck? Second, any location that
looks to be a likely location for a heater hose has a flat diamond shaped
    plate
bolted on. Are there special fitting used to attach the heater hose?
If so, can I purchase them somewhere? Do I need to fabricated them?

    Thanks,
    Terry
