Margery posted that she often uses washing machines ashore.
There are three great ways to meet cruising people when in far away places to
give and receive great tips/suggestions/anchorages/repair facilities/etc. One
is on the beach when walking dogs; another is the riding around the harbor in
a dinghy to admire other boats; the third is when doing wash ashore.
The first half hour wash cycle is just enough time to shop and return with
provisions to load the dryer; the one hour dry cycle is more than enough time
to store the provisions aboard especially those requiring refrigeration, then
wander the docks to annoy locals and exhaust your dog.
Anyone know how many gallons of water a Splendide actually uses??
