I used to have a 9' Boston Whaler Squall sailing dinghy. It tows well, rows
as well as most 9' boats can, and is a good sailer as well. Typical
bulletproof Boston Whaler construction, too. It has a retracting aluminum
centerboard, a round bottom, and a lateen rig, much like a sunfish. These
haven't been built in nearly 20 years, but I still see plenty of them
around.
