    sailing dinghys they recommend?

Our boat came with an 8' Montgomery sailing dinghy mounted on the aft
cabin top in a cradle. It's a beautiful little boat, fiberglass
"lapstrake" but with teak trim and components like rudder, daggerboard,
seats, etc. It rows very nicely and is a lot of fun to sail. I have no
idea how many were made, how common they are, etc. They're sized okay
for two "normal" size adults or smaller, but putting two "large-ish"
adults in them is nearing the limits. This is for rowing. Under sail,
    they are a one-man boat, or a one-man, one-kid (or one-dog) boat. We
added a 9' Livingston on Weaver davits on the swimstep for our everyday
dinghy, but we kept the Montgomery because it's such a fun little boat.
