I don't know about "dressing" but there are tools that exist whose
    specific
purpose is to loosen rubber hoses.
My son who is an auto mechanic has used
them for years, and now I own a
couple of them as they come in various sizes.
    Mine are Snap-on.
Let me tell you they work wonders...so much
    better/easier/faster than
using a screwdriver to release the bond between the
    hose and the
    fitting.
Didn't mean to hijack the thread but thought this was
    appropriate.
    Hope this helps.
    Jay

What is the best dressing for engine
    exhaust hose connections to
fiberglass fittings so they can be easily
    disassembled?
    Kindest regards,
    Leonard Brunotte
