I called Racor's Engineering dept. the other day to see what their
recommended sizing was. It's pretty simple. They said that the filter flow rating
required is:
H.P.X .18 for most engines. So the 500 series that has a flow of 60 GPH will
handle up to 333 HP, and the 900 series with 90 GPH flow should handle up to
500 H.P.
