Unfortunately I deleted the TT list before I caught Jeff Wrights' address. Are you watching Jeff? I know you live on Treasure Island in Florida (neat yacht club!) so you will HAVE to have AC! BE sure you allow for ENOUGH! The Dutch don't understand AC so Cinderella doesn't have enough for really hot southern areas. I don't see how you'd ever do without 50 amp in your case, however now I would also have 30 amp too. Might not run all the ACs but should keep you cool at night. I have run into so many places where they do not have 50 amp or they are all taken, so I have bought a splitter (for a cool $400+!!!) but have even run into several marinas where they do not work because the lines are all on one circuit, not split. The marina owners don't always understand this problem so they tell you they have 2 30's for you and can't understand why they don't work! The one marina we're forced to use (Ditto Landing, Huntsville AL) does have 50 amp but it is 110! Unheard of, but
then...We finally found that at a particular dock there, we can get two 30's on different circuits for the splitter, but it's not easy and not 100% certain we can tie up to that dock!
When you are building a boat, it's easy to install both 30 and 50, and shouldn't be that expensive then, but is difficult, once built, to add the one you weren't smart enough to add! Be sure and think about this!
