You really should do an energy audit on your boat. You probably could get by
with one 30 amp cord, which means 2 30's would be about perfect. It's not
usually a matter of how much you can pull but how much they can provide.
Transient slips are sometimes on the end of a long and already overloaded
service, especially in august on a saturday in the north gulf. I don't agree
with putting all the big loads on one side and everything else on the other.
The loads should be balanced as much as possible, that way if the double 30
service is in fact a split 240 you won't be overloading one side. If it's a
double 120 there's not much you can do about it. One thing most people
notice in the north gulf is that in mid summer there ac never goes off, it's
hot here !!!
