Hi all
Exellent advice to contact Dummond directly. I did, and they were very
helpful about which level to use. I used "Peel away 7" from home depot; a fraction
of the cost of "Marine", as usual it's a big rip-off!
I use wax paper, plastic would work as well.
Wind is your worst enemy, as it dries out the product before it can do its
work. I have been lucky in that all 4 times I have done this, I have had inside
storage.
So, if you are outside, I think it would be worth tenting your boat as well.
Once the peel away has cooked overnight, I would scrap it off with a wall
paper blade and a variety of different sized putty knifes. The with a green
scrubby wetted down with mineral spirits or turpentine I would scrub and then a
final wipe w/ a turpentine soaked towel. You can get as clean as she was out of
the mold!
Lot of work, but fairly rewarding, especially as measured against the rewards
of our professional endeavours!
Best of luck
