If there's one measurement you need to know exactly when cruising, it's your
air draft. Mine is 23'3" and I'll go under 24' bridges without thinking
twice. One day they closed the East River in NYC for snipers and I had to go
up the Harlem River with lots of 24' bridges. Clearly, there is a "pucker
factor" but after the first few, the rest are easy.
