I've modified the subject as I have a traditional wooden mast that is
    approx
12 feet long. Already set up with a hinged base that is mountedto
    the floor
at the rear of the flybridge.
My question specifically is can I raise and
    lower this myself with my
    first mate's help?
Right now there is an antique
41# radar antenna that will be replaced
    with a modern small radome.
    Thanks.

I suspect the mast on a
Monk36 is about the same weight as the one on
    your
    Albin 40, especially if
    yours is aluminum as well.
