The mast on my MT 40 is hinged and can be raised and lowered by two
people. Make sure that when you lower it there is something for the
mast, and boom if any, to rest on. It was somewhat easier before I
mounted the radome on the mast. With anchor light it tops out at 23
feet above the water and sticks over the transom about a foot when lowered.
