Randy, your message brings a question in my mind.
Do you really anchor in 8ft of water?
Were do you navigate? You don't have tide?
I have never anchor in less than 30ft of water.
In the golf of the St-Laurence River, we navigate in no less than 100ft to
600ft of water. And the shore is deep very fast.
Sometime in 30ft of water, I use 1.1 scoop because the anchor is less than
40ft from shore.
Different area of the planet, different reality.
