Two Golden Retrievers work well and one may suffice. Unsure whether
Portuguese Water Dogs work - may be too friendly. George loves to set ducks
flying and Coots splashing. This is his hobby, although I have gotten him to
stop creeping up on sleeping Mallard couples. Of course, they no longer
sleep on the finger next to the boat. Coots only paddle away from the Boyze,
but Mallards take off with their landing gears and wingtips slapping the
water. This is a complex biosphere down here on NW Creek, but swim platforms
only get occasional gifts - some delivered by aerial bombardment.
Don't forget to duck,

| We have always had a problem with the ducks on the swim platform. Of
course, they create a big mess and quicken the speed that the teak needs to
be re-finished. Does anyone have a method to keep the ducks off? We are in
the process of making a new teak swim platform and would like to build in
some sort of "duck proofing".
