Okay, all you smarty-electronics types -
In baby language, what precisely do I need to get, and how precisely do I
hook it up? I have a 1 year-old Sony Vaio laptop with a built-in wifi card.
How do I install a "higher powered" card? Do I need to remove the built-in
one? If so, how? Where does the antenna plug in on the computer? Where do I
    install the antenna?
I saw on the Hyperlink site
    http://www.hyperlinktech.com/web/wireless_marine_wifi_kit.php a Marine WiFi
Kit - should I get this?

I know this is very basic stuff, but I can't be the only one out here who
    doesn't have a clue.

    Thanks,

I agree with Phil. I've seen this product before. It seems a little high
priced. I learned from Ron Barr that nothing beats a higher powered WiFi
card and you don't need to spend a lot of money to get it. Combined with a
12 dB (or now 15 dB) antenna gives an incredible solution for cruising WiFi.
I had 2 nm of range in the Bahamas and had a nice internet connection every
night I was in the Abacos.

I'll be watching the live webcast of Mr. Gates' keynote tomorrow evening.
Will you get to see it live George?
