I had the best seat....I used to work for Annapolis Sailing School...who
also owns the boat show. I got to run the little outboard we used as a
"tug boat" and helped move everyone around.
After that I decided with rare exception (present company excluded!!!)

Your description of the Sunday night is only half the party....
Depends on
who's first that week. Lets say power first, and sail on the last
(Columbus
Day) weekend.
Be there on Tuesday, The power will have to pull out as you describe,
and
then all of the sails pull in. Double the pleasure. This all occurs in
about 6
hours.
You did have a nice seat.
