I've found that sprinkling a little ammonia on the deck chases the little
buggers away and usually they stay away. Repeat as necessary. At least at
our marina, if you back into your slip, they never get on the swim deck, I
suppose since there is too much activity on the dock. The boats that pull in
bow first usually have the duck problem on the swim deck.
