Sylvain, I have looked at my highway map and I see where you are, It must be
just a bit cooler that here in Orlando FL today, Eh! Should we reconsider, and
either round the Gaspe' Peninsula, or rent a car for a few days we will take
you up on your kind offer to visit. It is always a pleasure to meet fellow
boaters on our Summer trips, we've gone 12,000 miles so far. And the offer of a
drive to a market when on an extended cruise for fresh groceries is always too
tempting to resist. Thank you also for your post in Le Nautisme au Quebec for
us. I agree there is quite a bit of information about the area and most of it
is in French, I have used http://babelfish.altavista.com to translate much
of it. We have visited French Canada twice before by boat and have always come
away smiling, we once at Yacht Club, Pointe Aux Anglais, on the Ottawa River
we had the whole restaurant, 20 or more people, helping us to translate and
order deserts. And when at Le Chateau Montebello also on the Ottawa River we were
invited into their evening's entertainment and dancing, which may have been
the latest I have ever, in recent years, been up and returned to our boat. We
plan to revisit the friends we have made there again this year.
Regards,
Capt. James Clausen, MV Summer School
