Gil:
If one has a six feet plus draft, as I have with my sailboat, than it is
possible at a very low tide to touch bottom at the head of "Ego Alley" but
nothing serious.
I understand that the rates at the municipal dock and mooring fields in
Annapolis have been increased, probably due to pressure from the commercial
operators. Yet, staying at the conveniently located mooring fields still
seems to be relatively inexpensive (and secure) when compared with the
private marinas.
There are so many great harbors and anchorages on the Chesapeake and a visit
to Baltimore Inner Harbor (marina, city dock or the designated anchorage
near the Baltimore aquarium) are a must.
