(SNIP) On the subject of tools, I have a question. In what manner do you
    store all
the tools? Do you put all the same type of tool in a tool box, ie one box
for wrenches, one for screwdrivers, etc, or do you assign several boxes with
specific craft tools, ie all wood tools in one box, all plumbing tools in
    another, etc.

Before I started cruising full-time, my old friend Tom Neale advised me to
list all the storage locations on my boat. I thought he was crazy, but I
went ahead and did it and was amazed there were so many places to put
    "stuff" aboard a 44' boat.

I number each container of tools etc and put it all into an Excel Inventory
spreadsheet which has location and contents listed. This may be a little
anal, but I can usually find stuff pretty easily. I try to group them by
electrical, plumbing etc, but the real driver is where the containers will
    fit

                                              Regards....
