I installed a Groco in the Mainship I repowered. I had great service out of
it. I recently bought a Groco at 1 1/2 inch to install in my "new" Albin 40
    to supply the Lehman.
I'm the other way...I had no the greatest luck with a Perko...LOL

    List,
I currently have Raritan Plastic Raw Water Strainers for my Engine and
Generator. I am sure they are OK but I would like to replace these with
bronzes ones. I am not happy with the warning label not to store with
antifreeze in them and they do not have any drains plugs.. Also these types
make it difficult to use flushing add-ons such as ThoroFlush.

Would like some recommendations on strainers such as
Perko Raw Strainer 493 00X or Groco ARG Raw Water Strainers. I am leaning
toward the Perko because I had a bad experience with the Groco on my A/C.
    The
    plastic drain plug broke off.

    I have a Cummins 220 and a 5KW NectGen.

    Any help would be appreciated.
