Bob Siegal sent me the following offline and gave his ok for listing:

These Water Misers are not usable for most boaters. I ordered them,
describing in detail the type of holes in the tops of my batteries. The people
answering the phone assured me the Water Misers would fit. They did not know
anything about them or batteries as far as I could see. I ordered and received them.
They fit batteries with openings about 11/2 inches in diameter and with a
bayonet type hole in the top into which these Water Misers twisted. I never saw
a boat battery which would accommodate these things. I phoned them back and
was sort of angry. I returned them and my money and shipping from Arizona to
me was refunded. I was out the $7 shipping charges for the return and was
disgusted as well. Bob Siegel Annapolis--disappointed because they are a neat
    idea.
