I painted the bottom of our 46' motor sailor in August 2000 with three costs
of West Marine CPP. We enjoyed the winter of 2001 in the Exumas, then the
summer in the Chesapeake, returning home to Bayou Chico in Pensacola, FL in
December 2001. We have stayed in our slip behind our house most of the time, but
spend some overnighters anchored out in the sound. Our water in the bayou has
less than half the salt content of the Gulf and we have three fresh water
    springs dumping into our cove.

At present, we have a few, less than 10 barnacles just below the waterline.
Folks, that is over five years! We are hauling out in March and will use West
Marine CPP again. Last year West Marine discontinued the CPP, replacing it
with CPP+. I found about it and purchased enough of the old CPP for another
bottom job. The new CPP+ has much less cuprous oxide than the old stuff.

    Your mileage may vary.
