    'Lo All,

The use of removable headliners and wall panels using Velcro and
other fastener methods such as screws with finish rings, clips, etc.
have been in use on big boats for years. These panels are not used as
part of the structural strength of the boat - they are used solely to
hide the wires, hoses, pipes and such and provide some level of sound
deadening and heat insulation plus a pleasant appearance.

In smaller boats, the headliners and wall panels ARE part of the
structure and must remain as such or the structural integrity of the
    boat will be seriously compromised.

For example, in the Celestial, an Albin 43 Sundeck, the headliners
are 1/4" plywood glued and screwed to the ceiling beams, which are,
in turn, laminated into the deck structure. This forms a composite
beam which is extremely strong. Without the headliners in place as
part of the structural members, the deck would not be anywhere near as strong.

    Take care and be safe.
