I read today in Pacific Yachting magazine "they" have been upgrading Loran C
so thought I would check mine out to see if it is faster or more accurate as
compared to my handheld GPS. I know, I am a dinosaur but I am old enough to
remember using Loran A.
My Loran would not home in on a position after 30 minutes. If anyone in the
Anacortes, WA area still uses Loran please check yours and let me know if
mine has finally bit the dust or the Loran transmitters are not working. I
would love to have justification to dump my Loran and get a medium level
chartplotter.
