T&T: Prosine 3.0 failure

Just under 3 years ago, I installed a Prosine 3.0 inverter/charger on my new
boat. Selection based upon advice from the list, particularly Arild.

System has worked great since then; until last weekend.

When I am not using the boat, I am in the habit of turning off the inverter
function, leaving only the charge function active. We have regular power
interruptions due to construction of new yacht club building, I don't want
    to drain the ships batteries.

Past weekend, planning a short outing, I turned on the inverter before
disconnecting shore power. Immediate audible alarm (had not heard this one
before), and red "fault" LED, and display "Fault # 202 System Shutdown".
Any attempt to reset, turn on charger or inverter would only temporarily
reset the display, and shortly same message. Disconnect shore power, no
    change.

Manual states, for error code 202 "Relay Contact Fault; One of the relay
contacts is stuck in the closed position. Record the error code and contact
    Xantrex"

I called Xantrex tech support. Tech support suggested that I disconnect the
DC buss to see if the fault might reset. It will be a couple of weeks before
I am back on the boat, I so cant try this step right now.

Has anyone had a similar failure with this unit? Any advice? Unit is off
warrantee, is it worth attempting repair without return to Xantrex?

At least, no significant cruise plans at this time, so I can deal with the
problem. If this failure had happened when cruising, it would have been a
real problem. I power my refrigerator and freezer through this inverter.

    Thanks for the help.

    Chet
